Fired Dolomite Brick

Direct bonded MgO-CaO brick have demonstrated outstanding performance in the AOD and MRP converters and VOD ladles for the production of Stainless steel. Their features include high hot strength, good volume stability at temperatures above 1600ºC and excellent resistance to basic slags.

NCR uses high quality MgO-CaO and MgO raw materials and specialized process conditions to produce high quality MgO-CaO brick for use in the production of stainless steel.

Tempered Dolomite Brick

NCR can provide several qualities of tempered MgO-CaO bricks. These brick are formulated with MgO-CaO grain, graphite and resin. After curing the resin provides a strong bond and at higher temperatures the resin bond develops into a carbon bond that gives the brick good high temperature properties, thermal shock resistance and slag resistance. The brick are typically used in stainless steel ladles, VODs and carbon steel ladle.

NCR produces a full line of MgO-CaO monolithics that are compatible with MgO-CaO brick. These products are used to complete the installation in AOD’s, VOD and ladles
