The converter is a key production unit for the integrated steel making process and the lining design is critical with regards to steel product quality and productivity of the steel plant.
NCR can provide MgO-C lining designs for the converter in order for steel plants to achieve optimum performance and their economical goals.
NCR designs converter linings with corrosive-resistant brick for the slag lines, mechani-cally flexible bricks for the trunnion, high strength bricks for the impact zones and eco-nomical MgO-C bricks for the cone and bottom areas.
Proper zoning enables the wear of the converter to be predictable & uniform and a long-er service life can be achieved.
